RUPIRIUM
A Quick Look
Rupirium is an ongoing project undertaken to fashion primarily acoustic singer songwriter material written by Petar Tasic into full production chilled post progressive interpretations.
Musicians Petar Tasic and Peter Lane, having forged a strong musical bond in the late seventies playing together in the prog rock band 20th Century, have come together as Rupirium with their unique individual styles to create a number of releases from early 2020 with the latest album release "Sane" February 2021.
Individual styles caste through their evolution as musicians and life experiences have produced these new musical stories.

PETAR TASIC
Songwriter, Lead Vocals & Guitars
Petar's musical story began when playing in bands in his early teens. His first original song was performed at a lunchtime gig at Tech School in year eight and with minimal objects thrown at him, he knew this was the beginning of his songwriting journey. Petar's most prolific songwriting was inspired over a number of years in the late seventies with prog rock band 20th century. A hiatus from music during the eighties was the catalyst for a new generation of songs written from the early nineties to today. Inspiration for these songs he believes comes from moments of stillness where both music and lyrics pour out. Rupirium is the channel for these songs to be heard. Like many of today's indie artists, Petar learned the necessary skills in sound engineering and drum programming to create his new sound.
PETER LANE
Writer and performer of Bass and Moog Taurus
Peter came from a musical family, and played saxophone and trumpet before settling on double bass.  Having a rebellious nature and a brother who played jazz piano, he fell in love with the unorthodox and chaotic sound of prog rock and particularly the growling Rickenbacker stereo bass sound. His love of originality through his photography and filmmaking influenced his playing as he strove to invent his own style with original music.
He forged a strong musical bond playing with PetarÂ
and was inspired to become part of the Rupirium project with the excitement and challenge of playing a unique style and creating bass parts that interlace riffs symbiotic with vocal melodies and powerful rhythms that drive the songs.
